Our History
- March 26, 1910 Incorporated in West Newton, PA by 11 Associations of
Baptist Churches, to serve widows and orphans
- 1915 Moved to current Mt. Lebanon campus
- 1926 Added 2 children's cottages
- 1943 Formed Women's Auxiliary
- 1951 Added new residential wing and intermediate care unit
- 1964 Completed new Nursing Center
- 1972 Phased out orphanage ministry
- 1979 Added Baptist Manor, 100 HUD independent apartments
- 1985 Completed addition to Nursing Center, with a total 126 beds
- 1987 Renovated Residence with 54 private rooms
- 1988 Constructed new chapel
- 1995 Renovated third floor Nursing Center into Alzheimer's Special Care Center
- 2004 Received CARF-CCAC Accreditation through June 2009
- 2005 Licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Pennsylvania
- 2005 Opened on-site fully equipped Wellness/Fitness Center
- 2006 Groundbreaking held for new CCRC, Providence Point, scheduled to open by 2009 in Scott Township
