Activities

Our enthusiastic activity staff works with residents to plan a variety of group and one-on-one activities to meet their social, emotional and therapeutic needs. Programs are planned daily, evenings and weekends, and include pet and music therapy, Internet access, bingo, bridge, cooking activities, crafts, exercise groups, book reviews, musical performances, travelogues and periodic outings. Our strong intergenerational programs, including "Hand-in-Hand" with neighboring Howe School, offer wonderful opportunities for our residents to interact regularly with children of all ages. Residents are also represented at resident councils, which meet monthly.

Social Services

Our experienced social service staff offers support, guidance, and resource sharing to residents and their families, and coordinates resident care. Our Social Workers host Family Council meetings and educational seminars throughout the year.

Spiritual Care/Chaplaincy Services

Our Chaplain offers pastoral and spiritual care to residents of all faiths, and coordinates ongoing and special religious programs and services. We encourage clergy of all denominations to provide ministry and special programming for our residents. We provide worship opportunities for all religious denominations.

Physician Services

All medical care is supervised by our Medical Director, who specializes in the care and treatment of older adults.

Medical Specialists

A licensed podiatrist, psychologist, and psychiatrist visit the Baptist Homes regularly. An optometrist, ophthalmologist, orthopod and dentist are available to residents by request. X-ray and laboratory services are also available on an
as-needed basis.

Hospice Care

Our Good Shepherd program, a collaborative effort with a variety of hospice providers, provides access to end-of-life care and support for the resident as well as the family. Hospice care is available throughout our continuum.

Gift Shop

Our well stocked Gift Shop is open six days a week for the convenience of residents, families and staff.

Hair Care Services

A beauty and barber shop is located on-site and is open five days a week for appointments.
